When I visited to collect the car, my mum and I were greeted by Jack, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As it was my first time meeting someone from GB Autocare in person, Jack made us feel right at home. He gave us a thorough walk-around of the vehicle, explaining all the specs, and took me on a test drive while answering all of my questions along the way. Once I knew my decision was made, Jack took us into the office and guided us through the necessary paperwork, making the final steps smooth and easy. We shook hands and thanked him for his help.
Unfortunately, after bringing the car home, the engine management light came on with an error code indicating an issue with the DPF sensor. As someone who had dealt with constant issues with a previous car, I was understandably a bit disheartened. However, I reached out to Glenn that evening, and he called me back promptly on Monday to discuss the next steps. My initial preference was to take the car to a nearby garage and use the warranty, but when the garages I requested Glenn to contact were busy or didn't respond, Glenn went above and beyond. He arranged for one of his drivers, Rob, to collect the car on the Friday morning and provide me with a courtesy car in the meantime.
Rob was also fantastic"”friendly, and lovely to chat with during the exchange. The car was looked at in the garage, where it was confirmed that the DPF sensor was faulty. It was promptly replaced, and the entire vehicle was checked over to ensure everything was running smoothly. The car was also driven to make sure it was regenerating properly, which is crucial for a diesel engine. After the work was done, my car was ready the following Monday.
Being 95 miles away from the garage, I understand that delivery time slots depend on availability, but Glenn was very accommodating. I also asked if it was possible for fuel to be provided upon delivery, and Glenn said that would be fine, which was much appreciated. Rob delivered the car this afternoon at a time that worked for both of us, and as promised, there was fuel in the tank, and the engine management light was gone.
The level of care and service I received from GB Autocare has been outstanding. Usually, I'm a bit doubtful about buying a car 'online,' but everything is exactly as you read in these reviews. They've all gone above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, both before and after the purchase. I cannot fault anyone I encountered during this exchange, and I'm extremely thankful for all the measures everyone has taken for me.
